Security Alert: Phishing Emails

Please be aware that if you receive suspicious emails from your colleges, it is possible that their email address has been spoofed. These emails are sent with the malicious intention of gathering information under the guise of someone you may be familiar with.

 

Below is an example of a Phishing Email that was received by the district:

As you can see, the email account appears trustworthy until you try to reply...

 

 

Please pay very close attention to email recipient addresses, especially when they involve confidential information

Due to the vigilance of the Birdville ISD staff members involved in the above example, a request for a wire transfer was successfully negated.
