Helpful Keyboard Shortcuts

Tired of clicking and dragging all the time? Many daily computer tasks can be made much easier by the use of keyboard shortcuts. Here is a brief list of keyboard commands that will make your life easier. 


Lock Your Computer

  • Windows Logo+L


Program Key Combinations

  • CTRL+C: Copy
  • CTRL+X: Cut
  • CTRL+V: Paste
  • CTRL+Z: Undo
  • CTRL+B: Bold
  • CTRL+U: Underline
  • CTRL+I: Italic


Change Projector Display Options

Windows Logo+P


Copy a File

Press and hold down the CTRL key while you drag the file to another folder.


Create a Desktop Shortcut

Press and hold down CTRL+SHIFT while you drag a file to the desktop or a folder.


Selecting Multiple Files in a Folder

Select the first document in a folder and scroll down to the last one you want selected. Hold the SHIFT button and click on the last file you want selected.


Select Multiple Individual Files in a Folder

Select all desired files while holding the CTRL key
