STEP 1
Click the Start button and begin typing the word Sound. Select Sound in the list above.

Under the Playback tab, select the desired playback device, then select Set Default, click OK.
NOTE: Each system is different, so what you see will reflect that. Your current default device will be indicated by a green check mark.
If your computer says that the HDMI Output is your default device, you need to right-click or tap on Speakers, and then choose Set Default. Click okay to close that window after setting speakers as the default.
