STEP 1


Select the Start button, type snipping tool in the search box on the taskbar, and then select Snipping Tool from the list of results.





STEP 2


In Snipping Tool, select New, and the window will go dim. You will then be able to select the area that you would like to screenshot by left clicking and holding to the opposite corner.


*Windows Key + Shift + S is the shortcut for the snipping tool*







STEP 3


Once you select the area, an editing window will pop up. You can choose to mark up the image and/or crop it. 


The image will automatically be copied to your clipboard, but you can also choose to save it in the top right corner or the editing window.







STEP 4

You can paste the picture straight in an email or message by right clicking any blank space and choose Paste or by pressing Ctrl + V on the keyboard.
