We understand that there are many personal preferences for web browsers. However, Birdville ISD only provides technical support for Google Chrome on district computer systems. Additionally, we only provide support for Safari and Google Chrome on district iPads.
Internet Explorer is being phased out by Microsoft and becoming less supported by numerous web sites.
BISD supports Internet Explorer only when accessing Munis and Kronos.
Below is a list of district web services that are known to work best with a certain web browser:
If a certain website is not listed below, it is best to assume that Google Chrome is the better choice due to plugins and compatibility.

-Skyward (please disable the popup blocker for the site)
-BISD Help Desk / Knowledge Base
-ABCya, StorylineOnline, BrainPop, Starfall and other web sites that use heavy graphics
-Google Drive / Google Docs
-Eduphoria
-Canvas
-Most other web sites
If you are trying to access Online Resources from the BISD web resources page: http://www.birdvilleschools.net/resources (or Symbaloo) and are having difficulty accessing certain sites in Internet Explorer, please visit the resources page in Google Chrome and select the site (ABCya, StarFall etc.) from within the Chrome browser. This will help prevent any incompatibilities due to browser plugin versions that can occur in Internet Explorer.
Any site that uses Java will need to be accessed through Internet Explorer as other browsers do not support the Java Plugin.
