SuccessEd does not recommend any particular company or platform for conducting online webinars. Many of the different programs will allow a Meeting Host to share the screen and give control of the screen to participants. Digital signatures can be obtained using any screen sharing program that allows the Meeting Host to share the Remote Control/Screen Controls to participants.

Zoom just happens to be the program we have become familiar with when providing support.

For any participant to be able to take the remote control to put in an electronic signature, Zoom has the following Prerequisites:

  • Must be on a laptop or desktop with Windows, Mac or Linux or iPad with Zoom Mobile App.
  • Participants can participate via cellphone or telephone but will not be able to accept the Remote Control to sign electronically.

The Host will need to set up the meeting and extend the link to all participants. The Host will also be logged into the SuccessEd portal with the appropriate forms/documents ready to conduct the meeting.

Reminder: Only a single user should be on a screen at any given time. If multiple users are on the same screen, users could overwrite information. It is imperative that only the Host be on the Committee Membership page using the Remote Control from Zoom while capturing the signatures.

The Host will start the Zoom meeting and can manage the meeting, participants, and the Remote Control for capturing electronic signatures through the Zoom control menu.

STEP 1
