STEP 1


To adjust power and sleep settings in Windows 10, go to Start 



  • Select Settings  > System. 





Then Select > Power & sleep.








STEP 2


  • Under Screen, select how long you want your device to wait before turning the screen off when you're not using your device.






Under Sleep, select how long you want your device to wait before going to sleep when you’re not using it.






STEP 3 



Select Additional Power Settings on the right-hand side of the page.




Select Choose What Closing The Lid Does.





Under the Battery Column, choose Do Nothing. This will prevent the laptop from going to sleep when you close the lid after connecting it to a monitor or dock.
