The following information will help you backup your files to OneDrive. This ensures your data is always safe, whether you switch laptops or your computer breaks. PLEASE DO THIS PRIOR TO THE DAY WHEN TECHNOLOGY ARRIVES TO SWAP YOUR LAPTOP WITH A NEW ONE.








Uploading files and folders to OneDrive is an easy way to backup your data. First, click on the OneDrive icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen. If you do not see the cloud icon, click the start button (the windows icon at the bottom of the screen) and search for "onedrive"







You'll need to press the Sign In button.







You may be prompted to sign in with Two Factor Authentication. Go through the process like normal.







Once signed in, click on "View Online".







Once your OneDrive Tab opens, you can drag and drop files over to "My Files". You can also copy and paste into "My Files". 




 


This is an easy way to backup all of your data. You can transfer over individual files, or transfer over all of your files. This helps prevent data loss if you change laptops (or if your laptop ever physical gets damaged.)
