Validating signatures in Adobe Acrobat Pro


When signing travel forms sent by administrators or staff members, their signatures may not automatically be validated and may cause you to not be able to sign the document yourself. The steps below are to show you how to validate their signature.



Step 1


If you see the yellow triangle exclamation, this means you may need to validate their signature.



If not already opened, open the Signature Panel to see further details.




Step 2


Right click the "Signed by" option




Step 3


Click "Validate Signature"




Step 4


Click "Signature Properties..."




Step 5


Click "Show Signer's Certificate.."





Step 6


Click the "Trust" tab




Step 7


Click "Add to Trusted Certificates..."




Step 8


Click "OK" to trust the certificate




Step 9


Click "OK" at the bottom




Step 10


Click "OK" to take you back to the validation screen




Step 11


Click "Validate Signature" to finalize the validation, then click close.




Step 12


You will know the signature is signed by the green check mark next to it
