Junk Email Management

NOTE: Starting 1/28/2020, the Junk E-Mail folder/filter DOES Blacklist or Whitelist emails addresses. You can manage your junk sender list by following the steps described in this article.

You will no longer need to submit a request through the BISD Service Catalog.

The Outlook Junk Email Filter moves suspected spam to the Junk Email folder.

You can add names, email addresses and domains to these lists so the filter doesn’t check messages from sources you trust, or blocks messages that arrive from specific email addresses and domains you don't know or trust.

OUTLOOK ONLINE / WEBMAIL

Webmail gives you the option to individually mark a received email as junk or move an email that has been marked as junk out of the junk e-mail folder.

If a good message appears in the junk folder that you need to retrieve, right-click and select 'mark as not junk'. You will then be given the option to add that sender to never block:

If a bad/junk message appears in your inbox, you can right-click and choose to 'mark it as junk,' which will add the email to your personal blacklist and move the message to the junk email folder:
